Ashley Throw
Ashley found yoga through dance at a young age. In her teenage years, she discovered a love of bellydance. Her bellydance teacher, Rachel Brice, studied yoga with Gary Kraftsow, the founder of The American Viniyoga Institute. Rachel integrated his teachings into her dance classes and her certification program. It was a way to rebalance the body with all the difficult and taxing movements the dance style required.
After the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Ashley was dancing less and less and noticed her body (and her mood) was feeling worse and worse. In 2021, she found a yoga studio and that's exactly what her body and heart and mind were needing. She became a regular student and now a teacher too! She hopes to share her love of flowing movements integrated with breath as well as her newfound love of yoga anatomy.
When she's not practicing yoga, she likes to read books, crochet, make jewelry, snuggle her cats, and collect coffee mugs for her mug wall.
